Serves as the senior banking officer for the bank in a larger metropolitan market with responsibility for commercial, consumer, small business, wealth/affluent and investment and trust relationships.. Responsibilities. Develops and implements a business plan to ensure that the bank meets key goals in the key performance areas of: loan growth, deposit growth, non interest income growth, non-interest expense control, and pre-tax profit attainment.. Develops and maintains key business relationships with local government officials, civic leaders, Advisory Board members, business leaders, current customers and prospects. Effectively interfacing with Compass Champions, and personnel across the other support units. Represents the bank at various civic and business functions, serving in leadership capacities on civic and non-profit boards.. Gains and maintains comprehensive knowledge of the area economy, influential people, history and culture. Manages applicable budgets for local community support in that market, and within guidelines for local support provided from the Physical Banking executive through the Finance team as contained in the marketing budget for that location.. Manages the city''s banking resources through selecting and training employees, establishing and monitoring job responsibilities and performance standards, administering compensation programs and managing staff performance consistent with bank policy and sound management practices.. Supports and grows all relationships within the market by actively prospecting for new business, participating in the product selection, credit structuring, pricing processes and supporting commercial relationship managers whenever possible. Responsible for non-standard pricing and obtaining proper approval for any relationships that do not meet the appropriate thresholds.. Education/Experience.
