Approximately 14,000 employees. What you will be doing. The Compliance Counsel is responsible for supporting the Company's ethics, compliance, and data privacy program. The Compliance Counsel will work closely with the Deputy Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, Data Privacy Officer, and Associate General Counsel on a variety of ethics, compliance and data privacy matters, including policy development, training, day-to-day business guidance, and ethics and compliance investigations.. Specifically, you will:. Supports and participates in the development of the Company's comprehensive ethics, business conduct, compliance, and privacy functions under the direction of department management.. Supports the operationalization of ethics, compliance, and data privacy solutions within the business.. Supports the ethics and compliance function's response to the company-wide confidential concerns reporting helpline.. Conducts investigations of alleged violations of the Company's ethical standards, compliance with applicable laws, regulations and corporate policy issues. Supports ethics and compliance focus groups and other in-person outreach activities.. Qualifications. What you Bring. Basic Qualifications:. Bachelor's degree and a J.D. (Doctor of Jurisprudence) degree required from an accredited law school. 2 years of ethics and compliance experience at a law firm or as in-house counsel. Eligible to practice in at least one state in the United States, preferably Texas.. Experience in managing and conducting internal investigations. Added Bonus if you have:. CCEP certification preferred. Experience in energy and utilities, including with gas and electric transmission and distribution work, is a plus. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:.
