SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Director of Integrated Media & Analytics is responsible for building and implementing the media strategy for the marketing department with a focus on collaborating with Demand & Supply and Sales Operations to achieve GST's business results. This position will lead the development of strategic goals and KPIs across media channels and drive innovation through the development of marketing plans. The director will be responsible for agency teams in partnership with the Director of Communications.. The Director will be expected to maintain strong relationships with our dealers and field teams and effectively developing content and presenting Tier 2 marketing plans and performance. This will require an understanding of tier 3 marketing landscape and the ability to collaborate with Senior Manager Digital and Sales Operations in the communication and cross tier coordination of efforts, as needed.. With the support of his or her team, the Director of Integrated Media & Analytics will be responsible for managing the media advertising agencies in the strategic development of Tier 2 media programs across traditional, digital, search and social platforms with a focus on agency coordination/collaboration cross media and database specialties. This person will need to have a long-term and strategic focus on GST's business goals and how incremental media, AdTech and analytics decisions could impact success. The ability to recommend and execute new media and AdTech/MarTech opportunities across channels including a comprehensive knowledge of programmatic media is critical. The Director will be responsible for driving media success as well as quantifying and reporting the marketing impact internally and to external stakeholders as measured through business goals. Finally, the director will work collaboratively with the Director of Marketing Communications to build efficient and effective marketing campaigns.. Essential Functions. Develop, lead and execute yearly planning process including strategic alignment and coordination across agency partners and across tiers. This process creates the baseline for all agency activities and priorities for the following year. Manage Media and Analytics team by allocating resources and removing barriers to allow for day to day executional success. Ensure that internal team and agency are aligned with strategic business goals in managing daily media and analytics operations. Frequent communication with Sales, Operations, Incentives and Market Rep teams to ensure project alignment and maintain strong working relationships. Effectively work with Legal to approve SOWs and evaluate complex data/technology agreements. Close collaboration with the Director of Field Ops and Tier 3 digital team to ensure common goals, brainstorm field/dealer solutions, and share insights/information. Close Collaboration with TMNA Marketing, Media, Analytics and Digital team to ensure cross-tier efficiency. Develop and present content for the DAC and Pre-DAC meetings. Travel to and be able to effectively communicate media and marketing strategies with the field organization and dealers. Develop communication content to support meetings. Monitor and revaluate KPIs as needed to ensure efficacy of media, innovation of AdTech, and alignment with GST business goals.. Collaborate with internal and agency CRM team to utilize first party data within media tactics and analytics. Ensure close agency collaboration between the database and DMP. Closely monitor Marketing industry for trends and tools that can help mitigate online ad-fraud and other forms of malicious web activity. Drive accountability and transparency with agency vendors. Maintain excellent working knowledge of industry including meeting with media and technology partners to explore new marketing opportunities and partnerships. Directs 30+ agency staff to provide a consistent and strategic work product that meets GST business objectives and maintain efficiencies in execution. Including SOW and Scope development and negotiation. Direct two multi-agency status calls each week ensuring all agency stakeholders are accountable for deliverables and timelines. With the SVP and VP of Marketing, direct strategic development of media budgets including collaboration with Demand and Supply teams.. Support Media manager and Marketing analytics when co-op process requires leadership or TMNA support. Identify opportunities to innovate and evolve agency deliverables including the potential to open up business to new/outside vendors.. Frequent travel to industry conferences and internal/TMNA meetings. Including the ability to create and deliver executive level presentations in a variety of formats. Other duties may be assigned.. QUALIFICATIONS. Education and Experience requirements:. Requires a bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience in the field or in a related area or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience.. Advertising/Marketing degree preferred.. Advanced degree, (Masters or MBA in business/management) preferred. Extensive media and advertising knowledge. 10+ years prior experience in media, both traditional and digital. Experienced with Data Management Platforms/Demand-side Platforms. Management and coaching experience. Excellent presentation skills in both small and large formats. Expert knowledge of new digital technology platforms and analytics. Experience with automotive industry. Experienced with programmatic media. Strategic approach to media. Strong analytic/math skills.
