Director of Institutional Research Position Summary: Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the Director of Institutional Research provides leadership and performs all necessary functions related to the collection, interpretation, and use of institutional data for planning, assessment, and decision making in the service of fulfilling the College s mission. The position has broad oversight responsibility and works independently to facilitate access to information maintained in the college s administrative/student information system to monitor key institutional indicators and support college operations, ensuring the integrity of data/information released in reports or studies and providing data analysis, reporting, or research as needed to uphold institutional objectives. The Director of Institutional Research reports to the Senior Vice President and collaborates with senior leadership personnel to foster a culture of evidence that supports institutional effectiveness practices and complies with local, state, and national expectations and accreditation standards. Job Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks: Coordinate the collection and dissemination of statistical analyses of relevant institutional data and key performance indicators including enrolment, retention, recruiting, marketing, and assessment Improve existing data collection strategies and develops new approaches and procedures for the collection and analysis of institutional data Develop and validate predictive models for retention and enrolment Advance and maintains standard operating procedures for data collection and reporting processes to ensure data integrity Uses data visualization tools to clearly provide relevant information to the institutional units, mission areas, and senior leadership Provide technical guidance and support to departments on the completion of external surveys for various agencies including support for institutional self-study, accreditation, assessment, and program review Developing, forecasting, and distributing budgets Qualitative and quantitative data analysis Ability to prepares accurate and timely accountability reports according to documented requirements Ability to understand metrics and data mining Visualization of data in nontechnical audiences Represent the Office of Institutional Research by serving on, and actively participating, the Senior Leadership team Represent the Office of Institutional Research and the college as liaison to various authorities at the federal, state, and local levels for data reporting, research studies, or surveys Provide oversight to the budget for the respective area that the Director of Institutional Research oversees Education and/or Experience Master s Degree in relevant field from an accredited college or university, doctoral degree preferred Skills Effective leadership and supervisory experience Working knowledge of institutional research and program evaluation Experience with developing and implementing a strategic plan Excellent critical thinking and organizational skills Application Information: Please send cover letter, resume, salary requirements and a list of 3 references to: ...@mariacollege.edu with Director of Institutional Research as the subject.
