The Student Health Center (SHC) at New York University (NYU) is a dynamic health care service that supports the well-being and academic success of over 60,000 students studying all over the world. The SHC near Washington Square is our main facility for medical services and houses Primary Care, Women's Health, Medical Specialties, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy and more. This site is also home to and integrated with Counseling and Wellness, one of the most robust college mental health services in the U.S.
Under general direction, renders professional nursing care to ensure the comfort and well being of patients. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician. Maintains patients' medical records on observations. Assists physician during treatment and examination of patient. May have specialized area of concentration such as oncology or dialysis. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in nursing and RN license and four to seven years of experience.
Required Education:New York state RN licensePreferred Education:BSNRequired Experience:3 years experience as a registered nurse.Preferred Experience:Relevant clinical experience in an ambulatory or acute care environment. Experience in supervisory or team leader role.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:BLS certification.
