Aerospace, Defense & Marine Business Unit The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (AD&M) business, part of TEs Industrial Solutions Segment, is a leader in the design, development and manufacturing of a comprehensive product portfolio for harsh environments. It has a global customer base and with over 7,000 employees in 26 sites, the business delivers a broad range of world-class solutions for the Aerospace, Defense, Marine and Oil & Gas industries. Headquartered in Harrisburg (PA), ADM serves over 50,000 customers by dedicated engineering teams and sales representatives around the world, as well as by a global network of manufacturing sites located in France, the United Kingdom, India, China, Mexico and the United States. The AD&M business unit is organized into four Subvertical Business Units (SBU) based on each group's products and applications. With current overall revenues of $1.2 billion, TE AD&M has an ambitious goal to expand the business to $2 billion over the next few years, through both organic activities, driven by market & content growth and strong operational execution, as well as inorganic M&A. Position Summary The AD&M VP Finance will report functionally into the CFO of the Industrial Solutions Segment but must be an exceptional business partner to the AD&M President & General Manager and other functional leaders of the business. The position will be part of the BU leadership team and will have full responsibility for all business controlling & transactional finance functions within the business unit. It is expected that the VP Finance manages the BU P&L, ensures achievement of Budgets and quarterly forecasts and continuously comes up with ideas how to improve the profitability further. This position will also support the strategic direction of the business and serves as the point person and key strategic partner for the General Manager in all finance and business-related matters to drive profitable and sustainable revenue growth. The position is based in Harrisburg, PA. Key Responsibilities Develop Budgets and Forecasts in line with the BU strategy and owns the achievements of the financial targets Partner proactively with GM and other functional leaders to develop business unit strategy and execute on plan commitments Lead organizational reporting and analysis functions including: annual budgeting, monthly/quarterly close & forecasting processes, segment/corporate reporting, new product development analysis, operations & commercial analysis, and other ad hoc analysis projects Drive operational improvement, productivity and footprint migrations through execution and influencing positive change Oversee working capital management process including accounts receivable, inventory and capital expenditures Lead the pricing function; assess pricing analyses and strategy relative to customers and products, and establish appropriate guidelines and parameters Drive the organizational talent agenda through development, inclusion & diversity, retention and recruitment efforts Oversee manufacturing accounting processes including product costing and physical inventories Leverage and coordinate work with Financial Shared Services organizations globally (both transactional and reporting & analytics) Be the key focal point for segment and corporate finance projects, initiatives and external / investor communications Ensure compliance with policies & procedures, incl. government accounting (Defense specific) Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree requiredMBA degree or CPA/CMA a plus. Must have a degree in finance or accounting in either undergrad or graduate work Proven advanced proficiency in accounting and finance demonstrated through education and 7 to 10 years minimum commensurate work experience Minimum 5 years supervisory experience with global teams Experience with operations accounting, preferable in Aerospace and/or Defense industry Experience working in a global, culturally diverse, and distributed organization Organizationally savvy, able to effectively navigate between Business Unit, Segment and Enterprise needs seamlessly Must have high level of written and oral communication skills Excellent presentation preparation and delivery skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to hit key deadlines, proven problem solver Proven experience leading and coaching to improve individual and team performance Ability to travel up to 30% We noticed that you are already a member of our Talent Community.
